Herbal CSA: Spring Tea Bundle

$44.00

The CSA (community supported agriculture/apothecary) bundle offers you a discount on the price of a seasonally themed bundle of teas made with locally grown herbs. Your purchase goes back in to the growing, processing, and sourcing.

These teas are blended for taste, and have nutritional and energetic benefits that may support our bodies and comfort our nervous systems during the transitions of Spring. This box contains 1oz of each loose leaf blend and a complimentary home grown seed, with a combination of harvests from the very end of last season along with freshly dried early spring nettles, chamomile, lemon balm and mint.

BREATHE: hyssop, peppermint, spearmint, mullein

The strong aromatic hyssop with the menthol quality of peppermint can help get us moving calm and clear headed. Mullein is a friend to the lungs while spearmint offers a little bit of sweet flavor. Supportive to the head, chest and lungs, and also moving for the digestion. Helpful to diffuse what needs to go, like a respiratory illness, a tension headache, stagnant digestion, asthmatic symptoms, a head cold or a fever.

NOURISH: stinging nettles, oatstraw, spearmint, milky oats

Some minty green mineral nutritives for nourishing the blood, teeth, bones and nerves. Stinging Nettle, the primary herb in this blend, is one of the first herbs to pop back up in Springtime, indicating its something our body needs this time of year. It’s an antihistamine that can both nourish and cleanse the blood. It also supports allergy symptoms, especially if you add some local honey. To restore and recover from a more depleting winter than usual. Best to enjoy this one with the sun, as it is a bit cooling from the mint and milky oats. Infuse for 4-8 hours for an extra nutritive experience.

GENTLE: lemon verbena, lemon balm, chamomile

Sweet and sour, soothing tension relief that may support relaxation, soothe a bogged down spirit or ease you in to sleep. The gentle aromatics in each of these herbs make this blend calming to the nerves, while chamomile’s bitter after notes also support the digestive system. It tastes like lemon candy and green apple. Something gentle enough for a child before bedtime, or the little kid in you. <3

PROTECT: olive leaf, sage, rose

These three plants are some of the most important herbal allies of the SWANA region, and happen to grow beautifully in California. Olive leaf has been studied for its anticancer, neuroprotective, antiviral, antimicrobial and other benefits, while sage is traditionally sipped to warm and protects against illness throughout the cold season. Rose is medicine for the heart, fierce and also soft. For guarding both the spirit and body for the year to come, and warding off any unwanted energies from the year’s past. Grounding and deep rooted, like the plants themselves.

COMPLEMENTARY HOME GROWN MYSTERY SEED :)
